The focus on echoes policy shifts from quantity to quality. study analyses Scopus publications working 15 research-intensive universities, comparing them with colleagues same meso-institutional level (departments, schools, institutes) sex academic rank, but a doctoral degree attained Findings show that academics’ attract more citations, and, once checking covariates, they are also likely publish first Scimago journals. publications, comparison, tend be journals higher ranks average. reveals have international co-authorships than their counterparts, despite this latter point being not necessarily conducive influent research.

In his general assessment of Chinese research in philosophy of science and STS studies, Professor Li Xia characterizes recent developments as “substantial progress.” I cannot bring myself to agree. Since I suspect that we share a similar perspective on the current scene, I am puzzled by the optimistic generalization Li has offered. After all, Li is the author of many blistering criticisms of cu...
متن کاملSTRUCTURAL OPTIMIZATION USING BIG BANG-BIG CRUNCH ALGORITHM: A REVIEW
The big bang-big crunch (BB-BC) algorithm is a popular metaheuristic optimization technique proposed based on one of the theories for the evolution of the universe. The algorithm utilizes a two-phase search mechanism: big-bang phase and big-crunch phase. In the big-bang phase the concept of energy dissipation is considered to produce disorder and randomness in the candidate population while in ...
